Army commences 77 regular recruitment - Spokesman

- Nigerian army has commenced online registration for the 77 regular recruitment of intake for trades, non-tradesmen and women

- The Army’s spokesperson, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman said that application started on Friday December 29 and will end on February 9, 2018

- He emphasised that the application is free

The Nigerian Army said it has commenced its online registration for the 77 regular recruitment of intake for trades, non-tradesmen and women from Friday December 29 to February 9, 2018.

Legit.ng gathered that the army spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, said in a statement on Saturday, December 30, that the exercise was aimed at selecting able bodied Nigerians and would take place in all states.

“Interested applicants must be Nigerians between the ages of 18 to 22 for non-tradesmen and women, while tradesmen and women must be between 22 to 26 years by 1st March 2018.

“Applicants are to visit the Nigerian Army official website http://recruitment.army.mil.ng to apply online,” Usman said.

He said that the application was free.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the Nigerian army warned Nigerians to be wary of a fraudulent syndicate that is placing fake adverts to deceive unsuspecting members of the public on alleged commissioning into the Nigerian army.

The army raised the alarm in a statement on Tuesday, December 5 by the director, army public relations; Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman.

“The group specifically used Facebook and other social media platforms to entice interested persons and thereafter solicited for token payments into a certain bank account.

“The public is please requested to disregard such advertisements on the social media as the Nigerian army is not recruiting at this moment,” the statement had said.
