- Liverpool are now said to be ready to sell Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona
- But the Reds will only sell him if the Spanish club can pay the sum of £134 million
- Philippe Coutinho has been a long term target for the Catalan giants
Premier League club Liverpool have reportedly demanded massive sum of £134 million from Spanish club Barcelona for the signing of Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho has been a target for the Catalan giants, and there are many reports that the 25-year-old midfielder has signed for the Spanish club.
Liverpool now want Barcelona to spend big before luring Philippe Coutinho to Spain before the close of the January 2018 transfer window.
According to the report by UK Sun, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is targeting Schalke’s Leon Goretzka as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho at Anfield.
Leon Goretzka has also for years been a target for Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Philippe Coutinho reportedly agreed a deal with Spanish giants Barcelona ahead of a January switch away from Premier League outfit Liverpool.
Coutinho was desperate for a move to Camp Nou in the summer but Liverpool were able to hold on to the Brazilian as they played hard-balls with the Catalan club.
The former Inter Milan midfielder though remains keen on a move to the La Liga giants and the midfielder’s agent held a meeting with Barcelona last week where they settled on a £10.6m-a-year deal.
