In-form Manchester City star David Silva has revealed his son was born prematurely and is "fighting day by day" in hospital.
Silva has thanked Pep Guardiola, his team-mates, and fans for their support in a message posted on social media.
The Man City star man missed several games recently because of the incident, which led Guardiola to say "personal reasons" were behind his Silva's absence from the 4-1 win over Tottenham on December 16.

Silva, who turns 32 on Monday, missed the EFL Cup win over Leicester three days later but returned to play 90 minutes in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth on December 23.

He sat out away trips for the the win 1-0 at Newcastle and the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace between Christmas and New Year.
And he played the full game as City beat Watford 3-1 last night to restore their 15-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
