- Chelsea defender David Luiz has returned to training ahead of the Blues' clash with Arsenal
- The Brazilian star has been out of Chelsea's squad since October 2017 after having a bust up with Antonio Conte
Despite serious talks over his future at reigning Premier League champions Chelsea, Brazilian star David Luiz has returned to first team training as the Blues prepare to face rivals Arsenal in the Premier League.
The former Paris-Saint-Germain man has not played in the Premier League since October 2017 after he was reportedly dropped for criticizing Antonio Conte's tactics after a 3-0 defeat to Roma in the Champions League.
However, the defender could be in contention for tonight’s match against Arsenal after taking to the field at Cobham with his team-mates.
David Luiz and Super Eagles winger Victor Moses were given tough workouts as the Blues prepare hard for the battle ahead of them at the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are in desperate need of a win to boost their chances of securing a top-four finish in tonight's duel, while the Blues can return to second-place in the table with victory.
This will be the third competitive meeting between these two London rivals this season and it serves as a precursor to their EFL Cup semi-final clash which takes place next week.
Kick off time of tonight's Premier League encounter between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium is 8:45pm Nigerian time.
