President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the arrest of culprits behind the killings of villagers in Benue state.
The president disclosed this on his official twitter page on Wednesday, January 3.
He pledged to continue to ensure safety and security of Nigerians.
"One of our pledges to Nigerians is that we will ensure the safety and security of lives everywhere in the country. We will keep this promise. Let me assure that security agencies are working to arrest those behind the regrettable attack in Benue state, and prevent further attacks.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that residents of Makurdi, Benue state capital embarked on a massive protest against the killing allegedly perpetrated by some herdsmen in the state on Wednesday, January 3.
The protest currently being carried out youths in the state have witnessed burning of tyres and stick in city.
The youths in their scores called on the federal and state government to intervene in the killings perpetrated by the herdsmen in Benue.
Also the killings have caused an outrage on social media microblogging site - Twitter.
