- Mkhitaryan is being linked with a possible move back to his former club Borussia Dortmund
- The Armenian has been out of favor this season at Old Trafford
- Inter Milan are also interested and are ready to path with Joao Mario
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has had a poor start to his second season at Manchester United. The Armenian international thrived at times last year, but has been in and out of the team this year.
Recent struggles have put him firmly in Jose Mourinho’s dog house, and now a move away from Old Trafford could be on the cards this January.
The 28-year-old playmaker has largely struggled to keep his stock high in England and inconsistent performances cost him a place in the pecking order which ultimately led to intense speculation of possible January departure.
Serie A giants Inter Milan are said to be extremely keen to send Joao Mario to England and to get Mkhitaryan in return but Jose Mourinho would prefer to cash in on the midfielder.
German media outlet Ruhr Nachrichten suggests that Borussia Dortmund have also joined the race and even approached the player himself to talk about a possible reunion.

And even though Borussia Dortmund could be persuaded to fork out £15 million Manchester United are hoping to get for the Armenian.
Mkhitaryan would also need to be persuaded to give up a huge chunk of his reported £11 million annual salary.
NAIJ.com had earlier reported Manchester United are seriously concerned about the form and fitness of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the Armenian’s Old Trafford career is in the balance.
