- Lionel Messi has reportedly told Barcelona to sign five players this January
- The players are Mesut Ozil, Juan Mata, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Leon Goretzka
- But Barcelona's major target for now is the signing of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool
Spanish club Barcelona are doing well this season in the Spanish La Liga as they remain the only side who has not tasted a defeat this season and topping the standings.
The Catalan giants have been linked with the signing of Liverpool star Philippe Countinho despite their superb form this season.
Coutinho could complete a world record move to the Spanish giants before the close of the 2018 January transfer window.
However, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi who is an idol at Barcelona is said to have other targets he wants the club to sign this month.
According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Lionel Messi has listed names of five players he wants the club to bring to the Nou Camp.
The players according to the report are Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, Manchester United trio of Juan Mata, Daley Blind and Ander Herrera.
Messi is also said to be interested in playing at the Nou Camp with Schalke star Leon Goretzka.
German midfielder Mesut Ozil has refused to commit his future to the Gunners, and the former Real Madrid star could face the exit doors.
It is not yet clear if Barcelona will want to sign these five players, but they are expected to officially announce the signing of Coutinho on Monday, January 8.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Philippe Coutinho reportedly agreed a personal deal with Spanish giants Barcelona ahead of a January switch away from Premier League outfit Liverpool.
Coutinho was desperate for a move to Camp Nou in the summer but Liverpool were able to hold on to the Brazilian as they played hard-balls with the Catalan club.
