Current Premier League leaders Manchester City have qualified for the next round of the 2018 English FA Cup after beating visiting Burnley 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, January 6.
Burnley started the match impressive at the Etihad and they scored the first goal in the 25th minute when Ashley Barnes fired in a powerful shot Manchester City goalie Claudio Bravo had no answer for.
Manchester City tried to come back into the game after conceding the opening goal, but both sides went into the break with Burnley leading.
On resumption for the second half, Sergio Aguero put the hosts ahead when he scored two goals in the 56th and 58th minute respectively.
Leroy Sane netted the third goal for Manchester City in the 71st minute after being set up by Raheem Sterling.
Bernardo Silva also added his name to the goalscorers' sheet when he scored the fourth and winning goal for the Etihad landlords in the 82nd minute as Manchester City won 4-1.
Manchester City now join rivals Manchester United who have also qualified for the next round of the FA Cup.
