- Coutinho will travel to Spain on Saturday night, and Barcelona will unveil him next week
Premier League giants Liverpool have finally agreed to sell Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho to Spanish club Barcelona.
Coutinho is set to fly to Spain for medical as Anfield bosses concede defeat in battle to keep hold of their star player in the January 2018 transfer.
The deal is however expected to go through early next week when Barcelona will unveil the player to the world.
Coutinho earlier withdrew from the Liverpool squad that is heading to Dubai for a few days' break after the FA Cup victory over Everton on Friday evening, January 5.
His move to Barcelona is now the biggest ever involving a British club and the biggest ever signing made by Spanish club.
It is the third-highest ever after the PSG deals for Neymar close to £200m after his release clause was activated and Kylian Mbappe.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Philippe Coutinho agreed a personal deal with Spanish giants Barcelona ahead of a January switch away from Premier League outfit Liverpool.
Coutinho was desperate for a move to Camp Nou in the summer but Liverpool were able to hold on to the Brazilian as they played hard-balls with the Catalan club.
