Hull City have qualified for the fourth round of the 2018 English FA Cup after beating Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in their third round game on Saturday night, January 6.
The Tigers will however have Super Eagles defender Ola Aina to thank as it was his first goal in senior football that condemned Rovers to a defeat.
Aina was the Tigers’ unlikely hero just before the hour mark, meeting Jon Toral’s right-wing corner with a downward header to settle a hard-fought tie in East Lancashire.
After scoring his goal in the 58th minute for Hull City, Ola Aina who played at the right back position almost netted his second goal in the 71st minute, but he was brought down in the box.
Surprisingly, the center referee booked him for diving and a free-kick was given to Blackburn Rovers.
Blackburn Rovers tried to come back into the game at the death, But Hull City did not give them any chance as they won the match 1-0.
Hull City could face current Premier League leaders Manchester City in the next round of the English FA Cup.
