An Abuja High Court has nullified the suspension of Senator Buruji Kashamu from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Punch reports.
According to the report, the court also restrained the party from taking any further disciplinary actions against the senator.
Justice Valentine Ashi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Apo, gave the order in his ruling on Tuesday, January 9.
Kashamu, 59, was suspended by the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee of the party a few hours to the commencement of the December 9 national convention.
He immediately went to court to challenge the PDP's NEC pronouncement, but stayed away from the convention.
A new PDP leadership led by Prince Uche Secondus has since assumed duties at the Wadata Plaza, headquarters of the party.

The election was not without drama as most candidates from the southwest withdrew and endorsed a consensus candidate in Professor Adeniran.
Secondus, the new party chairman served as acting chairman of the PDP National Working Committee from 2015 to 2016 and his believed to be backed by Governor Nyesom Wike and other PDP governors.
