Current Premier League leaders Manchester City on Tuesday night, January 9 defeated lower League side Bristol City 2-1 in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi final.
But the Etihad landlords had to come back from a goal down to beat their opponents in front of their faithfuls in an interesting encounter.
The visitors scored the first goal in the 44th minute through Bobby Reid who was fouled in the box by John Stones in which the referee had no other choice than to give a penalty.
Reid stood up to score the penalty sending Manchester City goalie Bravo the wrong way.
Manchester City got their equalizer in the 55th minute when Englishman Raheem Sterling provided an assist for Kevin De Bruyne who wasted no time to score.
Bristol City fans were expecting the center referee to blow the final whistle before Argentine striker Sergio Aguero headed home the winner for Manchester City at the death.
Manchester City will now take a 2-1 lead to the Ashton Stadium for the second leg of their EFL Cup semi final against Briston City.
