A NAIJ.com reader has shared a story of how an Igbo man got married to a Yoruba lady amidst disagreement from parents and family members.
He claimed that it took Uche two years to get Adebanke to say yes to his proposal after which they were faced with family approval.
In his words; "I have this story of an Igbo guy who got married to a Yoruba beauty. Their story is interesting and I feel some people should hear this story of theirs.
"Amidst tribal disagreement Adebanke from Osun weds Uche from Abia Cecilia Adebanke and Christian Uche popularly known as Etuz met at the catholic corpers (NACC) family house in Ondo State in 2012, during their service year. What eventually became a love journey started as a tug of war between the lady, a conc. Yoruba girl and the Igbo guy as all advances made towards the lady by him proved abortive due to the tribal difference.
"They became distant friends after the service year but the guy kept on with his proposal to the lady until December, 2014 when she finally said yes.
Just when they thought it was time for " living happily after ", seeking family's approval became another torn in the flesh as the bride's family were not in support of the intertribal marriage. Finally, approval was granted and the wedding took place in December 2017.#Intertribalmarriageisbae #dreamit, achieveit #oneNigeria #bankeuche2017"
