Zimbabwe: Government withdraws Grace Mugabe's state security - Report
A report has revealed that the Zimbabwean government has withdrawn ex-first lady Grace Mugabe's state security detail.
All Africa reports that the former first lady used to have security agents specifically assigned to her before she was kicked out of the ruling Zanu-PF party where she was the leader of the women's league.
The report said that Grace no longer has team of security agents dedicated to her and may have to depend on the team that is assigned to her husband, the former president.
“She can no longer determine how the aides operate, but will be an indirect beneficiary of her husband," the report stated.

Presidential spokesperson, George Charamba, could not confirm the report but said: "Logically, I believe it would be expensive for the government to provide security to Chatunga [Mugabe's youngest child] now whenever he travels to America or decides to relocate there.
"I think the idea is that security details and other benefits are accrued to the principal [Mugabe].
"Other members now enjoy through the principal and not by virtue of their position or association."

Legit.ng previously reported that Grace is being investigated by the country’s anti-corruption agency, over a university doctorate degree which was awarded to her over three years ago.
The development was disclosed by an official on Tuesday, January 9, who revealed that the anti-corruption agency is trying to ascertain if the degree was awarded wrongly.
The former first lady had graduated in 2014, just months after she had registered to study at the University of Zimbabwe.
Contrary to normal procedure, Mrs Mugabe’s dissertation has not been published and is not available in the university library.
