- Francis Coquelin officially join Valencia from Arsenal
- The Frenchman is the first departure in January for Wenger's side
Valencia on Thursday, January 11, announced the signing of Francis Coquelin from Arsenal.
The defensive midfielder joined the Spanish side in a deal reportedly worth £12 million.
He is the second player to leave the Gunners for Valencia in the past one year following Gabriel Paulista's move to the Mestalla last summer.
Coquelin signed a deal that will run until June 30, 2022, with a buy-out clause of €80 million.
He played only seven times for the Gunners in the league this season, starting only once - at centre-back in a 3-1 loss to Manchester City.
Coquelin won two FA Cups and two Community Shields during his time with the Gunners.
A former France youth international, he won the European Under-19 Championship of 2010 with his country.
