- United manager Jose Mourinho wants him to get more top team experience
Englishman Demetri Mitchell has completed a loan move from Premier League side Manchester United to Scottish professional football club Hearts.
Mitchell will be at Hearts till the end of the ongoing season after finding it difficult to break into the Red Devils' first team.
The player who turned 21 on Thursday, January 11, is said to have been told by Manchester United coach that he needs to get more first team experience elsewhere.
While confirming his move, Hearts coach Jambos boss Craig Levein was full of praise for the England youth international, he told STV: "He's an exciting young talent at Manchester United.
"They think very highly of him and feel it's time for him to go out and play on loan. He was a winger who's been converted back to full back and we are looking for some balance in the team.
"We've spoken regularly about trying to find a balance and I'm sure that Demetri will provide us with that,''.
Meanwhile, the concentration of Manchester United now is how they would get the signature of Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez before the close of the January 2018 transfer.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Manchester United have made a bid to sign Alexis Sánchez from Arsenal as José Mourinho attempts to scupper Manchester City’s hopes of securing the arrival of the Chile forward this month.
The Chilean was left on the substitutes bench for the Gunners’ Carabao Cup semi-final cash with Chelsea on Wednesday sparking rumours his departure from the Emirates Stadium will be sooner rather than later.
City have been long-term admirers of the 29-year-old, but with money to burn, it seems Liverpool and French big-spenders Paris St Germain are also keen.
