Current African best female footballer Asisat Oshoala has been appointed a sports ambassador by the Lagos state Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
The Governor is proud of her achievement since she began her football career on the streets of Lagos before going to become a star.
Oshoala who currently plays in the Chinese Super League was last week named the best African female player for 2017 at the award night in Acrra, Ghana.
The 23-year-old had now won the award three times after winning it in 2014 and 2016.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari felicitated with Super Falcons' striker Asisat Oshoala for winning the 2017 CAF Women's African football player of the year award.
On Thursday, January 4 in Ghana, Asisat Oshoala who currently plays for Dalian Quanjian F.C in the Chinese Super League was crowned African's best Female player.
Oshoala who has won the award before two times in 2014 and 2016 beat Gabrielle Onguene of Cameroon and Chrestina Kgatlana South Africa to the award.
