- Chelsea are planning to sign Barcelona star Denis Suarez
- The Blues want the Spaniard as a replacement for Belgian star Michy Batshuayi
Premier League champions Chelsea are said to be eyeing a January 2018 transfer move for Barcelona attacking midfielder Denis Suarez.
The Blues want the Spanish player to replace embattled striker Michy Batshuayi who could be on his way out of the club for him to get a chance in Belgium's World Cup squad.
But Chelsea will only allow him to leave Stamford Bridge on loan, and the Blues' coach Antonio Conte is ready to bring Suarez to London.
Suarez on the other hand is also said to be considering facing the exit doors at Nou Camp as the 24-year-old has been given limited playing time this season at Barcelona.
The arrival of Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho and the return of Ousmane Dembele has also made it more difficult for him to break into the first team squad this season.
Should Barcelona agree to sell him to Chelsea, then Denis Suarez is expected to be a cover up upfront for Alvaro Morata.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported earlier how Chelsea announced the signing of Ross Barkley from Everton for a reported £15m fee.
The London club announced that the 24-year-old has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract and will wear the number 8 shirt.
Barkley had already made 150 Premier League appearances for Everton, as well as being named in England squads for both the 2014 World Cup and 2016 European Championships.
