- Barcelona's record signing, Ousmane Dembele, has picked up yet another injury that could see him miss his side clash at Stamford Bridge
- The french midfielder picked up the injury in Barcelona 4 - 2 away victory at Real Sociedad
- Club legend Iniesta is also battling for his fitness
Barcelona's record signing Ousmane Dembele has picked up another injury and could miss his side trip to Stamford Bridge next month.
The Nou camp giants confirmed on Monday, January 15, that the Dembele will miss between three and four more weeks of football after picking up an injury in Sunday's 4-2 win over Real Sociedad.
The £96.8m summer signing from Dortmund was a second half substitute in the game at Anoeta and a club statement issued Monday said: "At the end of the game he complained of discomfort in his leg. Tests have confirmed the player has a tear in the semitendinous muscle of his left thigh."
The good news to Barcelona is that the injury has not affected the surgery he had last year to correct a tendon problem that him out for three and a half months but it will mean he must spend a further month on the sidelines.
Barcelona face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League on February 20 and If Dembele returns in four weeks he could start one league game - away to Eibar - before the trip to London.
Barca coach, Ernesto Valverde, while worrying about the fitness of his record signing also have concerns over Andres iniesta as the club captain has a calf strain and will return as soon as he responds to treatment.
