- Arsenal have offered Borussia Dortmund Olivier Giroud plus cash for them to get Aubameyang
- The Gabonese striker has been seriously linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium
- He is expected to replace Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez who could leave this week
In a serious bid to land Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this month, Premier League club Arsenal have offered Borussia Dortmund Olivier Giroud plus cash.
Arsenal are seriously interested in bringing Aubameyang to England as manager Arsene Wenger wants him to replace Alexis Sanchez who is on the verge of joining Manchester United.
Since joining Borussia Dortmund, Aubameyang has scored 98 goals in 143 games for the Germans who want £60 million from any club that wish to lure him away.
But Arsenal are not likely to pay cash near that amount as they have offered Giroud plus £30m although the deal is set to drag on until the end of the transfer window.
Also, Alexis Sanchez is likely to seal a switch to Old Trafford with Manchester City appearing to have dropped their interest as United are offering Sanchez £400,000-a-week in wages.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Premier League club Arsenal are interested in the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Alexis Sanchez is said to be on the verge of joining Manchester United and the Chilean international could make the move to Old Trafford this week.
Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to current Premier League leaders Manchester City, but there are reports that Manchester United are ready to make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.
