A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and an ardent supporter of the Buhari’s administration, Prince Chemberline Adiaso, has predicted total victory for President Muhammadu Buhari in the southeast in 2019 presidential election.

Adiaso, who had earlier announced his intention to run for governorship in Abia state said, the people of southeast have decided to follow and support Buhari because of his "sincere and transformational leadership style".

Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, January 17, Adiaso who is also the coordinator of Friends of Muhammadu Buhari in Diaspora said the president has shown clearly that he loves the Igbos given the massive infrastructural development going-on in the southeast region since his assumption of office.

Adiaso said: "The government of President Buhari has been very loving and caring for the people of Igbo extraction.

"You only need to come to the south east to see the presence of the Federal Government. Is it in the area of road construction? Is it in terms of massive support for the Igbos or is it in his open-door policies and respect for the traditional and political institutions? President Buhari has demonstrated clearly that he is interested in the welfare and well-being of Nigerians."

Boasting that President Buhari would win again in 2019, Adiaso said that there is no vacancy in Aso Villa praying that “by the grace of God, President Buhari would contest and will win resoundingly."

"Mere looking at President Muhammadu Buhari, one would think that he has just collected his call up letter and he is about to go for his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He is full of vigour and vitality and the people of Nigeria are behind him and they have seen in him the transparent, competent and trustworthy leader they crave for," the APC chieftain said.

He added that Abia state and the whole of south east is for Buhari as the Igbos are solidly behind him because of his positive change agenda and his commitment to ensuring that Nigeria takes her proper position in the comity of nations.

Adiaso said campaign for the re-election of President Buhari is on and people are buying in into it.

He said the President is a friend of the Igbos, Adiaso hinted that Abians in particular believe in Buhari and are already working for him , adding that he will win hands down in the entire south east states.

He added that notable leaders like the former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu; Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha; Ken Nnamani; former Enugu state governor, Sullivan Chime and many other prominent Igbo leaders are at work and would stop at nothing to ensure total victory for the APC in the southeast.

Coming down heavily on attackers of Orji Kalu, Adiaso said his detractors should remember that the grassroots politician helped so many people including those who are now attacking him, describing them as being ungrateful.

Referring himself as a Buharist, Adiaso said he owed no one any apology for campaigning vigorously for the re-election of President Buhari.
