APC no longer deserves you - Lamido begs Tinubu to come to PDP

Former governor of Jigawa state and presidential hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamido, has appealed to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Party (APC) to defect to the opposition party ahead of 2019.
Lamido, who spoke at the yearly Daily Trust Newspapers dialogue held in Abuja, said the APC no longer deservesTinubu’s usefulness and importance.
Daily Independent reports that the former governor warned that Nigeria’s democracy would be tested in 2019 mainly if President Muhammadu Buhari will be willing to accept defeat when he loses the election.
According to Lamido, Tinubu’s stay in APC no longer has value; he should therefore dump the ruling party for the PDP and that as a progressive, he does not have anything to do with the APC.
Speaking in the presence of the representative Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), who represented President Buhari, Lamido said 2019 will be defined by what APC is all about.
He noted that the APC won the 2015 election on lies and propaganda.
“Tell Asiwaju that his brother and friend says he is in a wrong party. He will only recover and reintegrate himself as a democrat if he leaves the APC.
“Buhari never attended any meeting of former Heads of state while Yar’Adua was president. But he was the first person to arrive the meeting after Yar’Adua's death.
“APC won in 2015 by creating disaffection among families. In Gusau, they went from house to house flogging PDP members.
“APC is telling us what government should do after three years in power. APC should tell us what they failed to do.
“They call Nigerians wailing wailers for complaining. Thankfully, wailing will be over in 2019.
“APC members have joined the wailing wailers. Buhari is wailing. His wife is wailing. Sagay is wailing, Akande is wailing, everybody is wailing,” he said while describing the APC as a coalition of desperate politicians.
He continued: “I hope APC and Mohammadu Buhari would have the honour to concede in 2019 when Nigerians vote them out, just the same way Goodluck Jonathan and PDP did in 2015.”
Legit.ng earlier reported how Asiwaju Bola Tinubu reportedly said the 2019 general elections would be very challenging because it would no longer played by a well-heeled elite while the rest of the nation is left to struggle and starve.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos state, stated this on Thursday, January 18, adding that the opportunity before President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling APC ahead of 2019 elections will depend on how well the current government handles some critical issues affecting the nation currently.
