Lauretta Onochie not fit for her office, group insists

- The special assistant on social media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie, is currently under fire over her recent comments about the Nigeria Police Force on social media

- A group known as United Young Professionals has called for her sack, insisting she is not fit for her job

- Onochie was asked by the group to stop sabotaging the government feeding her entire household

The United Young Professionals has maintained its stand that the special assistant to the president on social media, Lauretta Onochie, must be relieved of her position by President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a reaction to Onochie's response to their earlier call for her sack, the national coordinator of United Young Professionals, Adewole Kehinde, berated Onochie for describing the group as “jobbers, who want easy money.”

“Onochie's reaction has shown that she must have been paying people to do her job for her as she doesn't even look like someone who understands the nature of her job than to insult reasonable people thereby tarnishing the image of her employer; President Buhari.

“We call on Onochie, pending when she remain in office to always do the right thing and stop sabotaging the government feeding her entire household," Adewole concluded.

The group had on Tuesday, January 23, accused Onochie of joining those sabotaging the Buhari's administration.

Onochie had written recently on her social media pages claiming that she has “just been informed that police officers on duty tour, are not paid the allowances due them.”

The group provided detailed information about the police budget and advised Onochie to rather call on the minister of finance to release the adequate fund needed for the Nigeria Police Force rather than castigating them.

“We sincerely hope that the special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie has not been compromised as we enter election year because it is in her nature to go for the highest bidder, no wonder she entitled her post as “HE WHO PAYS THE PIPER, DICTATES THE TUNE...” the group said.

Meanwhile, the police commitment to ensure adequate protection, safety and security of lives and properties of travellers and communities on Abuja-Suleja-Bida-Minna highways has yielded positive results.

The Special Tactical Squad attached to Operation Absolute Sanity, arrested some gangs responsible for several kidnappings/armed robbery, cattle rustling and car snatching along the Abuja-Suleja-Bida-Minna highway.

Legit.ng gathered that most of the suspects were arrested in the act after exchange of gun fire with the personnel of the IGP Special Tactical Squad attached to Operation Absolute Sanity in their hideouts along Abuja-Minna road.
