Police officer accused of racism after he refuses to help a white man

A man from Welkom in the Free State, South Africa, was refused help at the local police station, allegedly because he is white.

A video shared on Twitter showed an enraged man confronting a SAPS officer, who reportedly refused to help him open an assault case.

The man can be heard repeatedly asking if it was because he is white, he also said the officer refused to help him in Afrikaans.

"I was assaulted and you refuse to help me, and then you expect if I have trouble at my house that you would come to my home to help me", the man told the police officers, who seemed to pay little to no attention to his complaints.

The man then demanded to speak to the station's head, insisting he'll wait for whoever is in charge. He then asked the officer why he refused to help him, but the official just stared at him.

The man continued by making his own assumptions, asking if it was because he is white.
