Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, a former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has warned his current party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to find solutions to the complaints of Nigerians or face the consequences.

Baraje, who led a faction of the PDP into the APC just before the 2015 election, confirmed in an interview with The Punch that Nigerians are not comfortable and have been complaining.

He said: “I am aware that people are not comfortable. If I say I am not aware, I am being insincere. When people are not comfortable, definitely, they look for alternatives, right?

“It is left for the APC as a party to accept that people are not comfortable. If the APC accepts that people are not comfortable, then they must look for solutions.

“If they do not look for solutions, whatever results they get will be their own responsibility.

“The APC is barely five years old; if Nigerians think that there is a need for a change of political party, let them go to the poll and use the ballot paper.”

Concerning the defection of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Baraje said though it was too early to castigate the APC, “whatever the case, I believe that four years might not be enough to describe the party as either strong or weak.

“However, if the party is moving in the right direction, then the likes of Atiku might still be there.”

Legit.ng earlier reported how Abubakar Kawu Baraje, has hinted on moves by some people to impeach Dr Bukola Saraki as the president of the Nigerian Senate as he warns of dire consequences for such action.

Baraje, who is now a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the party’s board of trustees (BoT), reportedly said the plot to impeach Saraki will not stand adding that it would boomerang.
