- Senator Shehu Sani says he is not disturbed about the plan by a group to recall him
- Sani says members of the groups had been severally used against him since 2015
- The senator calls members of the group Governor El-Rufai's errand boys
Hours after a group reportedly commenced moves to recall Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna central senatorial district, the lawmaker has described the participants in the process as thugs and rabble rousers.
According to Sani, those participating in the recall process are being manipulated and allowing themselves to be used by the government in power against him adding that this will not yield any result.
Leadership reports that Sani alleged that the group had been used against him since taking over power in 2015 apparently for his stance against the anti-people’s policy in Kaduna state.
Speaking through Suleiman Ahmed, one of his aides, Sani said: “These amorphous and fake groups are nothing but Governor Nasiru Elrufai’s errand boys doing his bidding in the hope that it will buy him peace of mind.
“For close to three years, Governor El-rufai has been using this sorts of fake groups to fight his cause and all have failed and will continue to fail.”
NAIJ.com earlier reported that a group, Concerned Indigenes of Kaduna Central senatorial zone, has vowed to work towards recalling Senator Shehu Sani accusing him of working for the opposition party.
Leadership reported that the group made this known on Monday, February 12 saying the senator has not done anything for the people he represent in three years that he has been at the national assembly.
