Chelsea new striker Olivier Giroud has stated that it is crucial for the Blues to keep Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois at the club.
The duo are yet to sign new contracts with the Blues amid Real Madrid speculation and the Belgian pair could be on their way out if important steps are not taken to keep.
However, Giroud who provided Hazard with Chelsea’s first goal against West Brom on his full debut, says the London club must keep hold of them.
He said: “They are very special players. They have been here a few years now and done a great job at the club.
“They are very good on the pitch but they are good guys as well. It's very important to keep that kind of player for their leadership.
“I don't have to say too much about their qualities because they show it again in this game. Obviously we need to keep them."
The French international striker signed from Arsenal on the deadline day in the January transfer window for £18million but he is yet to score his first goal for the boys in Blue.
