English Premier League outfit Manchester United top the list of first 20 shirt sales since January 1 according Sports-direct.
The club’s iconic jersey number 7, which is currently worn by back-to-back Copa America winner, Alexis Sanchez takes the number one position on the ranking table.
While Paul Pogba’s shirt is the second most purchased replica in the top European leagues – having returned to United in the club’s current record fee of £89.3 million from Juventus in the summer of 2016.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku, David de Gea and Marcus Rashford completed the list of the Red Devils’ players making up the list.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, Mohammed Salah of Liverpool and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard complete the top five players with the highest jersey sales.
Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho is the only non-Premier League player on the list and he is number six, while Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Mesut Ozil, Robert Firmino and Ibrahimovic complete the top ten list.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the man who made way for Sanchez to leave Arsenal and went in the other direction, comes in 19th position.
