Super Eagles of Nigeria have been ranked in the 52nd position in the latest FIFA ranking, dropping one place from January ranking.
World football governing body (FIFA) released the current ranking on Thursday February 15.
The Super Eagles previously held the 51st position in the world - a ranking that forced outrage and total condemnation among the Nigeria football faithfuls.
It remains certain that Nigerians from all walks of live will not be too pleased with the current FIFA ranking.
In the African category, Nigeria currently occupies the seventh position, while Tunisia tops the continent and are ranked 23 globally, followed closely by Senegal who dropped 3 place to be ranked 27 globally but still maintained number two slot in the continent.
Congo DR is ranked 3rd, while winner of the 2018 CHAN competition Morocco was ranked 4th Egypt 5th, Cameroon 6th and the Super Eagles of Nigeria is currently the 7th best team in the continent according to latest FIFA ranking.
Gernot Rohr's side will still face DR Congo, England and The Czech republic before the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Russia.
