- Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Man Utd star Luke Shaw
- The contract of the Englishman will expire at Old Trafford in the year 2019
Premier League champions Chelsea and their London rivals Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Manchester United star Luke Shaw.
The Gunners and the Blues are said to be currently monitoring his contract talks with Manchester United this term.
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho have previously explained that the Englishman will sign another deal at Old Trafford as his current deal will expire in 2019.
But that has not deterred the Gunners and the Blues from beginning to plot a summer swoop for the England international according to the Daily Mirror.
Shaw is believed to be keen on staying at Old Trafford, but he may have to wait before thrashing out terms to try and get his current £80,000-a-week package bumped up to between £120k and £150k.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are reported to be trying to bolster the left side of their defense at the end of the campaign.
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte wants an experienced left back to be a cover up for Marcos Alonso if he stays at Stamford Bridge next season.
Antonio Conte and Chelsea chiefs have recently had a bust up over signing of some players with the Italian claiming that the Blues did not sign the players he wanted.
