- Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Gareth Bale in the summer
- The Real Madrid player has been linked with a return back to England in the last two years
- Bale in recent times has said that he would love to play at Old Trafford if he is to play for any English club
Manchester United have renewed their interest to land Real Madrid star Gareth Bale this summer after losing out last transfer window.
The Welshman has been linked with a return to the Premier League in the last two seasons amid concerns by Real chiefs over his injury issues.
Bale’s exit could be the catalyst for a major shake-up at the Bernabeu, with a potential transfer for Neymar, Eden Hazard and Harry Kane who have been heavily linked to the Spanish capital.
United tried to sign the 28-year-old when he left Tottenham for La Liga in 2013 and several attempts have also been made in the last two years when the winger had recurring injury crisis.
Jose Mourinho could look to bring the three-time Champions League winner to Old Trafford this summer following the rising form of the Welsh international.
Reports also have it that Bale once said that if he would ever make a return to England, his best choice is Manchester United.
Bale is no longer a guaranteed starter at Real due to the stunning form of Isco because of his vulnerability to injury but has made more starts in Real Madrid’s recovery this season scoring nine goals.
Bale made a world record move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013 and have won one La Liga title, a Copa del Rey and a remarkable three Champions League honours.
The former Southampton player was also part of the Welsh team that historically made it the semi finals of the European Championships in 2016.
