President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly arrived his home town, Daura, in Katsina state on a private visit.
The Punch, citing sources reports that the president arrived Daura on Thursday, February 15 and may prolong his visit till Sunday, February 18.
Buhari was said to have been received by Governor Aminu Masari, the Emir of Katsina, Kabir Usman and other personalities as he arrived Katsina state.
The president, who was in all white flowing gown, was later flown to Daura in Nigerian Air Force helicopter, NAF-540 at 4.40pm.
Buhari’s visit to his home town is believed to be connected to the recent death of two of his close relatives.
Meanwhile, a coalition of Buhari support groups, mainly young men and women, is gathering for a one million march towards the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Channels TV reports that the groups are insisting that President Muhammadu Buhari should make a public statement, declaring his intention to run in 2019 by Monday, February 19, or they will go to court on Tuesday, February 20, to compel him to do so.
