Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has arrived in Bayelsa state for a three-day working visit.
The former president was invited by the governor of the state, Seriake Dickson to commission some government projects.
Obasanjo arrived in the state on Friday, February 16, and was received by the state governor.
The projects were executed by the governor during his six years in office.
The former president was at the Traditional Rulers Council secretariat where he was received and welcomed by the traditional rulers in the state.
Meanwhile, the Bayelsa state government on Sunday, February 11 disclosed that it would start the construction of a New Yenagoa City between March and April, 2018.
Governor Seriake Dickson made this known at an interdenominational thanksgiving service at the Glory Land Chapel at the Government House in Yenagoa to celebrate the sixth anniversary of his administration, Independent reports.

The governor said: “In one or two months, we will assemble the best in our country, and I have received assurances that the leadership of our country will be here because here we are talking development."
