- Brazilian midfielder Arthur could be on his way to Spanish club Barcelona
- The Catalan giants will travel to Brazil this weekend to finalize the deal
- Barcelona will talk to Arthur's three representatives in Brazil
Spanish giants Barcelona are now on the verge of signing Brazilian midfielder Arthur from Gremio as the Catalans will travel this weekend to Brazil to finalize the deal.
Arthur has been a long-term target for the Catalans and was the star man as his side triumphed in the 2017 Copa Libertadores.
The Brazilian club last year reported Barcelona to FIFA when the 21-year-old Arthur was pictured in Barcelona's shirt, but the Catalans tendered an apology.
But Marca reports a deal is edging closer with a meeting arranged for this weekend which will be a complicated transfer with the player's rights being owned by three different parties.
Gremio own 60 per cent and they have set his release clause at £50 million while the rest is split evenly between businessman Celso Rigo and Arthur's family.
Should a deal be reached between these three parties and Barcelona this weekend, then the player will be joining his fellow countrymen Paulinho and Coutinho at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona are currently doing well this season in the Spanish La Liga as they remain the only unbeaten side this season.
They are currently topping the La Liga standings with 59 points from 23 games played this term.
