- Arsene Wenger believes he will not be axed by the management at the end of the season
- Arsenal's poor run of form has suggested that he would be sacked if the club does not qualify to play the Champions League
- The 68-year-old insisted that he has always seen out his contracts with the club
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful of seeing out his current two-year contract at the Premier League club.
The longest serving Gunners manager signed a new contract at Arsenal at the end of last season but there has been no improvement in the club as they lie sixth in the league.
The north London club have also been knocked out of the FA Cup and are not sure of a guaranteed Champions League football next season.
The club's inconsistent performance has led to suggestions that Wenger's 22-year reign may come to an end if the situation with the club does not get better at the end of the current season.
"I have always respected my contracts,'" Wenger told beIN Sports on Thursday.
"I would like to remind you I said no to all the biggest clubs in the world to respect my contract so that's always what I try to do.
"After that we have as well to accept in our job that the future is the future but for me that's to win the next game.
"We have to perform better in every single game and show until the end of the season a complete hunger to win every single game. That's what it's about for us."
Arsenal's only chance of winning a trophy this season is if they beat Manchester City in the EFL Cup final on February 25, 2018.
The Gunners still have the chance of Champions League qualification if they can emerge Champions of the Europa League just like their rivals, Manchester United did.
The eight-point gap to fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League appears unreachable with just 11 games left to play.
Arsenal under Wenger have won three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and the same amount of community shields for the London club.
Wenger for the first time in many years failed to qualify for the Champions League as they finished fifth in the 2016\17 season.
