Chelsea winger Willian has won the Premier League goal of the month for January.
The Brazilian scored Chelsea's second goal in the 4-0 thrashing of Brighton, finishing brilliantly at the end of a wonderful team move which had included back-heels from both Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi.
Speaking to Chelseafc.com after his emergence as winner of the award Willian said:"I’m very happy to win this award. For sure, it is one of the best goals that I’ve scored in my career. It was a special goal, it was a good moment, it was good quality by the team.
"I remember when I got the ball, I ran. Then I saw Hazard in front, and Batshuayi. I passed to Hazard, and then he passed to back to Michy, and then we played between us and I scored the goal.
"I hope to score more goals like this one, but the most important thing is to get a trophy."
NAIJ.com has previously reported that Antonio Valencia's wonder goal against Everton has won the wing-back the award for the Premier League best goal for the month of September.
Valencia, 32, scored the stunning volley in the fourth minute of Manchester United 4-0 demolition of Everton at Old Trafford.
