Breaking: Obasanjo visits Jonathan in Otuoke

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo is currently on a visit to former president Goodluck Jonathan in his country home, Otuoke, Bayelsa state.

The former president made this known on Facebook when he posted photos of Obasanjo arriving his home on Friday, February 16.

The purpose of the visit is not known as at the time of filing this report.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that Obasanjo arrived Bayelsa state for a three-day working visit. The former president was invited by the governor of the state, Seriake Dickson to commission some government projects.

Obasanjo on his arrival at the state on Friday, February 16, was received by the state governor.

Legit.ng had also reported that Obasanjo on Friday, February 16, said that one of the things Nigeria needed to do and do well is the issue of security.

The former president stated this during a courtesy visit on the traditional rulers council where he was conferred with automatic Bayelsa state citizenship and chieftaincy title in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

Obasanjo also inaugurated the Bayelsa state Drug Distribution Company, the state ultra-modern Diagnostic Centre and other projects and some projects done by Governor Seriake Dickson.

He expressed shock over the rapid transformation which Dickson had brought to Bayelsa state within six years and commended him for the relative peace he had maintained in the state since his six year administration, urging other states in the country to emulate him in that regard.
