The Nigeria Police Force on Sunday, February 18, said it has arrested three principal suspects over the recent killings in Zamfara state.
The police said the suspects - Halilu Garba (Alias Mabushi), 45; Zubairu Marafa (Alias Wakili), 45 and Nafi’u Badamasi (Alias Zakiru), 40 - were arrested for participating the recent killings in the state.
A statement signed by the force public relations officer, Jimoh Moshood, said the trio are now in police custody.
Moshood also said the suspects are assisting the police in further investigations into the crime that led to the death of over 40 people in the state.
He said: "Further findings follows and all suspects would be arraigned in court on completion of investigation."

This was disclosed by an aide to the governor of Sokoto state Imam Imam.
Imam urged the federal government to consider the establishment of of a new security force dedicated to areas prone to attacks.
