APC sets up committee to investigate disagreement in Kaduna state chapter

- Three man committee has been set up to identify the remote and immediate causes of the disagreement in Kaduna state

- The committee will be led by the deputy national chairman (South), Engr. Segun Oni

- Other members of the committee are the national auditor, chief George Moghalu and Hajia Rahmatu Alliyu, national woman leader

National working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has set up a three-man committee to embark on a fact-finding mission to Kaduna state with a view to identifying the remote and immediate causes of the disagreement.

It will be led by the deputy national chairman (south), Engr Segun Oni and is expected to also identify the immediate causes of the disagreement and the circumstance that led to the demolition of the house of Senator Hunkuyi.

The committee is expected to report back to the NWC within a week. Other members of the committee are the national auditor, chief George Moghalu and Hajia Rahmatu Alliyu, national woman leader.

"That the unfolding situation in Kaduna state is deeply regrettable and request all parties in the disagreement to maintain utmost decorum and give opportunity for true reconciliation," the part said in a statement made available to Legit.ng.

Going further, the statement read: "In respect of Kogi state, the NWC reaffirms that that Alhaji Haddy Ametuo remains the chairman of the APC in the state until the appropriate organ of the party decides otherwise in accordance with the party’s constitution.

"The meeting of the NWC with lasted for about seven hours was led by the national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and was attended by majority of the NWC members."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central at the Red Chambers, has accused Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai of tyranny, describing him as a ‘military administrator.’

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker said this in reaction to the demolition of APC faction secretariat, a building belonging to Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, in Kaduna state.

Channels TV reports that Sani said El-Rufai demolished the building because he is angered by his suspension from the party.
