Man who went missing days to his wedding found hiding at friend’s home

It has just been reported that a 27-year-old man identified as Philip Tumwebaze Wambire, who went missing few days to his wedding has been found. He was found at his friend’s place in Kampala, Uganda.

On Saturday, February 24, police officers located along Kira road disclosed that they found the 27-year-old Wabwire was found at his friend’s place through one of his close friends. He went missing on Friday, February 16.

Ugandan newspaper The Independent disclosed that the young man went missing after heading to a nearby shop to purchase airtime. Wabmire was to buy the airtime in order to mobilise his friends to attend his wedding.

After been interrogated by the police, he disclosed that he went missing due to lack of funds for his wedding which is set to hold on Saturday, March 3.

His disappearance was announced by his sister David Muwanguzi on Facebook, she shared his pictures with the caption: “Whoever has seen my brother PHILIP TUMWEBAZE or has information to assist in rescuing him PLEASE CALL ME or Whatsapp David on 0703820291, Hilda 0776871559 he went missing at Friday, February 16, at 5pm no friend or family member has seen him since. We have reason to believe that he might have been kidnapped and have informed police please inform the nearest police station if you get any information or leads. Please also pray with us as we seek God's intervention in his recovery. DAVID M.
