9 suspects arrested in connection with kidnapping, murder of Honourable Hosea Ibi (photos)
- Troops have arrested suspected kidnappers and killers of Honourable Hosea Ibi, a member of Taraba state House of Assembly
- Three arrests were made initially, but more were made after investigation was conducted, bringing the total arrests to nine
- One of the suspects, Amadu Barnabas Torva, was said to have participated actively in kidnapping and murdering of Honourable Ibi
Troops of 23 Brigade deployed to Wukari on Ex Ayem Akpatuma and team of Department of State Services from Jalingo, have arrested suspected kidnappers and killers of a member of Taraba state House of Assembly, Honourable Hosea Ibi.
In a statement by the deputy director, army public relations, Colonel KO Ogunsanya, the arrested suspects include Jaka Ejukun (24years), Peter Isaga (33years) and Arachukwu Bedforth (21years).
Legit.ng gathered that more arrests were made after a follow up investigation was conducted on Sunday, February 25, by the combined troops and Department of State Services in Gbise, Katsina Ala local government area.

The suspects are Isaiah Suwe (23 years) a Tiv by tribe from Lessel Ushongo LGA of Benue state, Amadu Barnarbas Torva (aka Atamanin) (23 years) from Gbise Kastina Ala LGA of Benue state, Aondi Teroo (21 years), Nengenen Mbaawuaga Damian (22 years), Aondoase Kayitor (18 years) and Ternenge Tersoo (19 years).
Consequently, a total of nine suspects have been arrested in the kidnapping and murdering of Honourable Ibi.
It was learnt that one of the suspects, Amadu Barnabas Torva, participated actively in kidnapping and murdering of Honourable Ibi.
The statement read: "Items recovered from him include, 3 Glo sim cards, 3 MTN sim cards, 2 Etisalat sim cards, 1 Airtel sim card, One Gionee Android phone, 3 Techno dual sim phones and his voter card.
"Other items include, 1 First Bank ATM cards without name on it with number 5061051125350935375, 1 vigilante identity card with Taraba State Command belonging to one Moses Yaro suspected to be a previous victim of the gang and flash drive.
"The suspects are currently in custody undergoing Department of State Service interrogation."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that two suspected kidnappers; Dayibu Abdullahi and Nasiru Adamu, were arrested by troops of 33 Brigade, Nigerian Army, at Badiko village along Gumau road, Toro LGA, Bauchi state.
The suspects were arrested with a bag containing the sum of four hundred and thirty nine thousand Naira (N439,000.00k) and some personal items.
According to a statement by army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, investigation showed that the amount was their share from a ransom paid by a recent kidnap operation.
