SKC Ogbonnia, a United States of America-based Nigerian entrepreneur, and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has aired his views concerning the state of the nation and his political ambition in view of 2019 elections in an interview conducted by Leadership.

Asked what his plans are as his aspires to preside over the affairs of the country, Ogbannia said he has been nurturing the dream of leading the affairs of Nigeria for a long time. He said he has also planned and dedicated the resources in identifying the problems confronting the nations with possible, practical solutions.

He said: Nigerians will notice practical changes that do not need long grammar to explain. I know exactly what to do to end fuel scarcity and epileptic power supply within one year. I will carry every group along. These factors will help engender the enabling environment for massive industrialisation and youth employment by consequence. I will equip at least 8 teaching hospitals to international standard in my first year at the Aso Rock Villa. Our schools will once again compete with top schools in the word.

"Nigeria is richly endowed. My presidency will unleash our potential to the fullest. I know how to harness the resources to make every state self-sufficient. Everyone will be proud of being a Nigerian again.

"Very essentially, I will lead a mass revolution on corruption. Those who colluded to loot our common wealth will be exposed without minding whose ox is gored. Let that heaven fall. Where there are no consequences for bad behavior, the bad behavior typically worsens."

Upon being asked about his assesment of the Buhari-led administration, he remarked that the president deserves sympathy and support. He added that the president has done quite well, considering where the country is coming from and the flaws of the past administration.

He remarked: "Given the situation when President Buhari assumed office, he deserves sympathy. Think of where we came from. Things were truly falling apart under Goodluck Jonathan. The PDP henchmen squandered the billions of dollar earned from the oil boom. Trillions of naira budgeted for vital projects were looted with reckless abandon. That is why I laugh when I hear the PDP people boasting of coming back to power.

Concerning how he views the menace and rivalry that bedevil the National Assembly and the executive arm of the government generally, Ogbannia stated that the current legislative - executive tension is a failure in the leadership of the country.

He said: "My teachings have always promoted strong and dynamic opposition activity in governance, beginning with the legislature. God gave us that rare opportunity through the 2015 elections, but President Buhari blew it.

So, the legislative/executive feud is basically a failure in leadership on part of the president for allowing the Saraki/Ekweremadu coup of June 9, 2015. Today, we have found our self in a situation where a shameless corrupt opposition party is practically dictating the content and character of our hard-earned change."

Ogbannia is certain that the APC will give him the presidential ticket for 2019 election because he believes he has what it takes to be the country's next head of state.

Ogbannia said: Frankly, I do not see how APC can fall into the temptation of denying me the presidential ticket. How? Nigerians yearned for a figure to sack PDP and its corrupt empire in 2015, and Buhari was the answer.

Today, the masses are fervently praying for a dynamic leader of international repute with the capacity to make Nigeria truly great. Pay close attention to Obasanjo’s advice to Buhari on 2019 elections. He envisioned a dynamic patriot with fresh ideas. And you are looking at that leader in SKC Ogbonnia.

"I have what it takes to make Nigeria an envy of the world. The international community knows me and, of course, trusts me more than President Buhari. I have no connection with any corrupt cabal. Best of all, I have always succeeded where others fail. So, how can the Nigerian masses be denied the opportunity of having me as their next president? Just compare me and Buhari and be the judge."
