- PDP party chairman, Uche Secondus, said only his party can rescue Nigeria now from total collapse
- Secondus urged the ruling APC to tell Nigerians what it has achieved in its years of ruling
Prince Uche Secondus, the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Sunday, March 11, said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed. He said only the PDP can rescue Nigeria from total collapse.
Secondus, while mocking the ruling party, urged the APC to list its achievement since the party took over power in 2015.
He made this statement while speaking at Ovwor, Ughelli South local government area of Delta state during an interdenominational thanksgiving service/grand reception organised by J. U. Oguma Foundation in honour of former governor of Delta state, Chief James Ibori.
The PDP national chairman accused the APC of borrowing N11 trillion in three years as against the N6 trillion borrowed by the PDP in 16 years.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Secondus, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, and ex-governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and other national and state PDP leaders on Saturday, March 10, eulogised Ibori.
PDP leaders praised “the sterling leadership qualities of former governor James Ibori, describing him as a unifying figure and a blessing to the Niger Delta region.”
