- Ronaldo instead wants Real Madrid to sign Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah

Spanish champions Real Madrid could end their pursuit for the signing of Chelsea star Eden Hazard at the end of the ongoing League season in Europe.

This is because their star player Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told the club's chiefs not to bring the Belgian star to the Bernabeu this summer.

Ronaldo instead according to the report by Don Balon wants Los Blancos to try all their best to sign Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah.

Hazard has been heavily backed to swap Chelsea for Real when the transfer window opens again this summer.

But the latest claims from Spain indicate Cristiano Ronaldo is opposed to Florentino Perez striking a deal for the 27-year-old.

Salah has scored 35 goals operating predominantly from the right wing since joining Liverpool from Roma.

And that form seems to have convinced Ronaldo that the 25-year-old can take the departing Bale’s place in Real’s starting XI.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Spanish League giants Real Madrid reportedly made Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah one of their major targets this summer.

The 25-year-old joined the Reds last summer from AS Roma in a five year deal worth €42 million, and the Egyptian has been fantastic for the Anfield side so far this season scoring 24 Premier League goals in 30 league games.

Salah became an instant hit for Liverpool on his return to the English topflight, having struggled for form and playing time during his first reign at Chelsea.
