Legit.ng gathers that the several girls had been camped in an apartment in Italy by the human trafficker; and were engaged in prostitution, under his supervision.

The trafficker’s problems started after he refused to set the girls the girls free; insisting that they must keep paying him money. The girls had reportedly informed him that due to the Oba’s curse, they could not keep on engaging in prostitution.

After this, he reportedly suddenly began experiencing a mysterious headache, and was rushed to a hospital, where he subsequently gave up the ghost. Also said to be hospitalized following a mysterious illness, is one of the girls, a certain Queen, who reportedly doubted the efficacy of the Oba’s curse.

The death was confirmed by an Edo state-born activist and host of a reality talk show based in Germany, Prince Edwin Idahosa who stated that the deceased “died as a result of the curse by the Oba of Benin.”

He continued: “I know the guy very well but unfortunately for him, after the curse, he still collected money from the girls which resulted in his death. His girl friend is also on admission now for the same problem.”

A member of the Edo State Task Force Against Human Trafficking and Illegal Migration, Mr Solomon Okoduwa, warned that Oba’s curses are potent, as he disclosed that the committee had been informed about the death of the trafficker in Italy.

He stated: “It is important for all Edo sons and daughters to heed to the call of the Oba. Oba’s orders are orders you don’t joke with. For those who are still in the business, they should remember Oba’s curse.

“So you can see that there is no where you can hide .Either you are caught by the law or by the gods of the land. Oba has freed all the girls. So we are trying to locate the family of the deceased here in Benin and also free the girls in captivity by alerting the Police over there.”

The two suspected robbers, on their part, died in Useh, in Ogida barracks, Benin City, after they reportedly returned from a robbery operation. Their lifeless bodies were discovered by neighbors.
