President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that he would seek reelection in the 2019 presidential election.

The development was made public by the president's personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmed.

Legit.ng notes that Ahmad took to his Twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad, to announce the development on Monday, April 9. He further disclosed that the president made the announcement during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
