Gareth Bale wants Real Madrid stay amidst interests from Manchester United

- Spanish journalist Guillem Balague is confident Gareth Bale will remain at Real Madrid next season

- The Welshman has been linked with a move back to the Premier League as Manchester United are in pole position to sign the forward

- He has a running contract with the Galacticos until the summer of 2022

Gareth Bale is not interested in quitting Real Madrid this summer despite heavy interest from top Premier League clubs all season long.

The 28-year-old played all 90 minutes in Los Blancos 1-1 draw against Atletico in Sunday’s Madrid derby at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Having fallen down the pecking order with Zinedine Zidane, the Welshman was ready to reconsider his future at the club.

However, Spanish journalist, Guillem Balague, believes the former Tottenham Hotspur forward, who has been linked with a move to join Manchester United this summer will remain at the club next season.

Bale created assist for Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal against their city rival in their Spanish League clash at the weekend.

He was on the bench all through his side’s 3-0 Champions League quarter-final win against Juventus in Turin, and Zidane has admitted that Bale was unhappy after being left on the bench all the way.

Balague said: "Real Madrid are doing the kind of thing they do when they want to get rid of a player or get a lot of money for a player.

"They did it with James [Rodriguez] last season. He gets left out of the big games, stays on the bench.

"Zidane concurs with that and prefers others instead of James or Bale this season. Against PSG [in the Champions League] Bale was left on the bench for both games.

“And then he plays in the league. He performed well but he doesn't have an intention of leaving.

"If you want him out of there, you're going to have to kick him out; you're going to have push him because he doesn't want to leave.

“He may find himself in a position at some point that he might have to go but right now he doesn't want to leave Real Madrid."

Bale has scored 11 goals in 21 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid this season but only featured in four Champions League matches.
