- Reports say Conte was sacked after the draw with West Ham
- The news about the sacking was later confirmed not to be true
- Chelsea fans wished the Italian manager was shown the exit
Antonio Conte was rumoured to have been sacked after Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw against West Ham at the weekend.
Those reports have been denied, but some Stamford Bridge faithfuls were happy to hear their manager might be on the way out.
"At least rumours are emerging. That's good, it's only a matter of time. He's gotta go," wrote one Chelsea fan on Twitter.
Another added: "We want him out."
A third Twitter user called for a culling of the club's top players as well as Conte.
They wrote: "Sacking Conte wont change the situation If the same players are kept. Conte needs to go along with Pedro, Cahill, Cesc, Tibo and Hazard."
The Blues ended their hopes of a top four finish as they further slipped away from Tottenham who are now 10 points above them on the table.
With four games left to play in the Premier League Conte's side will be playing for pride to finish the season on a high.
Reports have been going rounds that the Russian owner Roman Abramovic will be making a total clear out in the squad and inject new blood next season.
Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have constantly been linked with a move to Real Madrid while Marco Asensio is also on the wishlist of the Stamford Bridge side.
Cesc Fabregas, David Luiz and Tim Cahill have also been listed among the players that will be axed from the club.
The London club have a FA Cup semi-final clash with Southampton in a fortnight's as the Blues will be looking to earn a silverware after a disappointing 2017/18 campaign.
