- Nollywood actress, Shan George has come out to speak on her terrible fligh experience
- According to her post, the services rendered were poor and she was at some point, scared for her life
- She however, did not mention the name of the airline
The issue of poor working conditions of transport services in Nigeria has become a growing and fundamental issue in Nigeria. More often than not, people experience the brunt of these neglected services be it by road, train or air.
Just recently, Shan George had own her share of the horrible experience. She narrated how she was on board a plan earlier on and the services were poor. The air conditioner was not functioning and she was placed beside a dilapidated seat. According to her, it felt like a Molue in the sky"
Sharing a video from the plane, she wrote: "I've just landed at my destination and grateful to God we r here in one piece. Seriously, transportation on d road is a write off, (no roads) by water is non existent, by train? just forget it, by air is now becoming extinct wit d kind of planes plying commercial routes
Nigeria which way ? Ive never been this scared being in a plane, it felt like a molue in d sky, the airconditioner wasnt working and we made do wit manual fanning of ourselves (see d person behind me fanning seriously) I'm very angry right now. (In lasisi's voice) this airline, I no mention una name this time, but una kno unasef. Change abeg.
This is just one among many other experiences shared. Due to the dangers that are commonly associated with road and rail transportation, most people perceived air transportation as the next safe thing.
However, this is proving to not be the case. While Shan George's case wasn't as life threatening, a Twitter user, Oriaku Okwesilieze, took to the platform to narrate how she was on board Aero Contractors flight and witnessed how the engines allegedly caught fire, causing the cabin to become filled with thick smoke.
