Legit.ng has come across the tragic story of a young man who drowned while swimming at a resort in Bauchi. The young man identified as Gabriel Emmanuel Chinonso had passed away on Sunday, April 9.

It was gathered that the young man was a 400 level student at the department of electrical engineering at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi.

According to Facebook user Yusuf Usman who shared the tragic story, the incident had occurred at the Yankari Games Resort while the deceased was swimming.

Usman revealed that the police in Bauchi had rushed to tyhe scene after a call about the incident was placed.

The Facebook user noted that the police public relations officer Kamal Abubakar had disclosed that officers were deployed to the scene to recover the student.

Abubakar had also stated that the deceased was rushed to the Remee Clinic where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
